Dr Badarinath, or “Dr B” as his patients know him, was born and raised in central New Jersey. He attended college at Rutgers University and medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. He completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital/University of Maryland, where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During this year, his focus was on fluoroscopically guided spinal procedures and he was involved in research projects. He then worked in a private practice along the Jersey Shore before deciding to join Dr Rao at The SCS Institute.
Dr. Badarinath believes in a balanced and multi-disciplinary approach to diagnose and treat his patient’s pain complaints. He offers a combination of exercise therapies, spinal procedures, and medications to best treat his patients. He also offers spinal cord stimulation options for patients, and he is skilled in EMG tests to accurately diagnose painful conditions. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and American Board of Pain Medicine.
